A Memory At Night


In the middle of the night
sleepless
as almost every night
with images roaming my mind
and words floating besides
that thought came again
that memory which ever wearied me
it made that summer night
seems long as eternity
and turned that gloomy silence
into chilling sounds
that no human ear ever heard before
I rose at once
faced my window
and let moon rays swiftly pass through
and with it take away
that black burden
from my heart and soul
and a little shaking it, a little sway
and finally make it vanish
as the night gives way
to a new sun and a new day
.....................
